Following a decade of award winning catering and hospitality nationaly, feeding everyone from royalty to the A-Z list of celebrities, Wynnie hung up her apron and slipped on the heels and big hair to tackle the doors of some of the North premiere Dance clubs. Meeting, greeting,mixing,mingling and dancing the night away on podiums.
Reclaiming the often-heard word 'freak' Wynnie la Freak was here to stay, presenting banging club nights and parties for the debauched. A legend in her own lunchtime, the tranny with attitude began to perform cabaret around Europe, including Ibiza, Aiya Napa, Spain, Italy, Germany and Ireland, singing LIVE, with classics such as the Shoop-Shoop song, River Deep Mountain High and Thank You for the Music.
Now a fully-fledged Disco Diva and party DJ, She launched Wicked the countries first male lap dance club, Wynnie then turned a hand to stand up, taking in the regionals of the 'Cutting Edge of Comedy' competition then appearing at prides and festivals throughout the country.
A direct action campaigner, Wynnie took part in the ground breaking public adornment of a huge red painted '28' on the front of a bus (owned by a supporter of section 28) which was then dramatised by Russell T Davis in 'Bob and Rose'.
Always an outspoken and uncensored character she has been a guest on many a show, from 'Trisha' to 'Cheshire Sex', 'Diners' to 'Passports to Passion', later co hosting the game show 'Absolute Cobblers' for Sky television and taking a 10 week television presenting course at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London. More recently Wynnie has been featured on Taxi nights, New Years Eve edition, Granada’s Behind The Scene and has since played Connie in Hollyoaks in the city and Val in Shameless.In 2009 wynnie was a finalist in channel 5's breaking into tesco's with here twice baked chocolate cheese cake.
